2. Thundercats
ThundercatsTheir planet, Thundera, was destroyed. The last of the Thunderans struggled to survive in space, pursued by a band of mutants. One lone ship escaped, carrying eight Thunderans. They searched for a nearby inhabitable planet, but the nearest is several years away. Jaga, their leader, commanded the small ship, while the others slept in stasis tubes for the long journey. Jaga died on their journey to Third Earth and their ship crashed on this planet. Soon they had allied themselves with several groups. Panthro designed a fortress.

Mumm-Ra, the centuries-old embodiment of evil, along with the mutants that destroyed Thundera, are a constant threat. But Lion-O, the new Lord of the Thundercats, with his weapon the "Sword of Omens" give the Thundercats a standing chance. Lion-O, though appearing grown up, still has the mind of a child, due to his years in stasis on the ship. Other characters include the children, Wilykit and Wilykat, Cheetara, Tygra, Panthro, Jaga, and Snarf.

3. M.A.S.K

5. Captain Planet
Captain PlanetThese teens, from the far reaches of the world, are very different in background and upbringing but share one overwhelming passion: a heartfelt desire to save the Earth. With rings given to them by Gaia, they each control one special element of nature that is an extension of their personalities and talents.

The extent of these powers is limited and cannot approach the strength of Captain Planet. Once Captain Planet has been summoned forth, the rings are rendered powerless until he completes his tasks and returns to the Earth. Various forms of pollution also sap the powers of the rings.

Although the Planeteers are generally knowledgeable about environmental issues, they do not always understand the dangers posed by environmentally hazardous situations, and they may need an explanation from Gaia or Captain Planet.

Their vehicles - Wind Kayaks (small, swift boats), the Geo Cruiser (a large flying vehicle), Solar Cycles (small, motorcycle-like land vehicles), the Eco-Sub (a small underwater vehicle), and the Eco-Copster (a small, highly maneuverable flying vehicle) - are nonpolluting and operate off alternative energy sources.

8. He-Man
He-Man LogoWith He-Man's powers, Prince Adam battles Skeletor and his evil armies to protect Etheria. His cowardly tiger is named Cringer, and when Adam transforms into He-Man, Cringer becomes the fierce Battlecat. During his transformation sequence, Adam holds up his sword and shouts, "By the power of Greyskull, I Have The Power!" Among He-Man's allies were Man-at-Arms, his daughter Teela, Cringer, the Sorceress, and Orko. Sorcerer Orko, in addition to providing us comic relief, gave short moral lessons at the end of each episode. Adam was careful to keep his secret identity safe among his closest friends.

9. Bravestarr
BravestarrOn the distant planet of New Texas, Marshal BraveStarr uses his super powers (strength of the bear, speed of the puma, eyes of the hawk, ears of the wolf) to fight for the cause of justice with his talking horse, Thirty-Thirty, and the pint-sized Deputy Fuss.

Thirty-Thirty is an Equestroid with the ability to transform into a humanoid-like form, standing on his rear legs to fight. BraveStarr lived in Fort Kerium. His advisor was the wise, elderly Shaman. Tex-Hex was the evil leader of the Carrion Bunch, a group of outlaws under the control of the mysterious group Stampede. They sought the valuable Kerium that BraveStarr protected. Tex-Hex has guns that can turn people into half-human/half-dog beings called "Dingos." This western/fantasy/adventure series combined the best of the Old West with the 24th century space-age future.
